WHAT'S ZAZZY

At the forefront of Zazzy, the vibrant Lebanese fast-casual gem tucked away in Arlington’s Clarendon neighborhood, is none other than Zeina Chouman El Eid.

As the concept creator, she is the driving force behind developing our recipes, orchestrating the operations, and infusing the establishment with her creative flair. Collaborating closely with Chef Jordan Lloyd and a dedicated team both in the kitchen and front of the house, their collective aim is crystal clear: to nurture an inviting ambiance where guests can indulge in a kaleidoscope of flavors while crafting enduring memories.

The vision extends beyond mere dining; it’s about curating an experience. Zazzy is a culinary journey through the streets of Lebanon and the comfort of home. With every dish, the aim is to transport diners to the bustling streets of Beirut or the cozy kitchens of Lebanese families, where every bite tells a story.

Moreover, Zazzy prides itself on its commitment to healthy eating. Nothing is fried; food is baked or roasted, ensuring that each dish is both flavorful and nutritious. 80% of the menu is vegetarian, catering to diverse tastes

By seamlessly blending the best of Lebanese street food with the warmth of homestyle cooking, Zazzy is a destination, a retreat for those seeking authenticity and flavor.

ZEINA CHOUMAN EL EID, (Founder & CEO)

Growing up in a household of 6 where my mother infused cooking with her unique touch was more than just a lesson in culinary skills; it was an immersion in a passion, a lifestyle.

My mama Alia, in her own subtle way, passed this on to me. As I journeyed across the globe, encountering diverse culinary traditions, I eagerly embraced them, expanding both my palate and understanding. However, amidst this rich tapestry of experiences, I remained rooted in the authenticity and simplicity of my culinary upbringing.

Fueled by my love for travel, food and exploration, I founded, back in 2012, a bustling all-day café in Beirut, offering an eclectic international menu. Over the years, I’ve been recognized for my contributions, being featured in “35 influential women in Hospitality” in 2019 and in 2020 in “The Middle East hospitality industry’s women trailblazers”.

12 years later, and moving back to the US, I find it natural to bring the essence of urban Lebanese cuisine to my new neighborhood, Clarendon. Let’s Zazzy!
